Web Developer (Programmer/Analyst 2)

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Web Developer (Programmer/Analyst 2) at our York campus to design, develop, test, debug, install, implement, modify, and support new or existing applications software, provide end user consultation, training, documentation, and guidance, and monitor applications and websites for quality standards while making adjustments as necessary. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Work with users to analyze their requirements; determine scope and specifications; participate in project planning efforts
Develop application and website components, features, modules and templates; this may include the development of custom interfaces, modules, and themes using common programming languages such as PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Investigate application and website issues; perform root cause analysis, take corrective actions
Research, develop, and implement new functionality requests for applications and websites
Supervises student workers who help maintain campus websites
Assist in shooting campus photos, as well as digitally edit and archive these photos.
Assist in maintaining the campus' social media

This position typically requires a n Associate's degree or higher plus 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position will require successful completion of standard background checks.
