Systems Analyst Information Technology Division

Full-time, Non-Unit Professional position.


COMPENSATION:
Salary Range: $65,000-$70,000/year, plus a comprehensive State benefits package

Hours: 37.5/week

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Applications, performs analysis, development, testing, and support for applications including Ellucian Banner modules and associated products. Provides technical expertise and assistance to functional departments to support business processes.


EXAMPLES OF

DUTIES:
1. Gathers information concerning administrative requests to determine project requirements, scope, impact, and timeline. Communicates regarding project details within applications team and with affected users at all levels. Designs, develops, and implements solutions.

2. Resolves functional users' questions and problems, escalating issues to other ITD staff or vendor support as required.

3. Performs application programming and report development as necessitated by project requirements, ensuring adherence to established security standards.

4. Develops and maintains standard data inquiries for regulatory compliance and other purposes.

5. Reviews system upgrades and version releases, and coordinates planning with Enterprise Applications team, other ITD departments, and stakeholders.

6. Analyzes workflow, use of system features, and data management for ERP applications when working with user departments. Collaborates with functional staff to increase productivity and efficiency through feature implementation, supplemental programs and reports, or system modification.

7. Learns and supports new academic and administrative applications as needed.

8. Performs other related duties as assigned.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; minimum 3 years applications support/programming; SQL; relational database application development, including knowledge of tables, packages, stored procedures, triggers, views; strong commitment to customer service; ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with constituents at all levels; ability to work with a diverse staff and faculty.






PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience with Ellucian Banner products or other higher education ERP system desirable; experience creating reports for end users; knowledge of Java; experience in a college or university setting.
