Position Summary:
The College of Human Sciences is seeking a candidate for the position of Information Technology Specialist III/IV for supporting technology and related services in the College. The Specialist will report to the IT Manager for the College. The Specialist, under general supervision, provides support for the technology and applications used within the College of Human Sciences. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


  1. Provides end-user support on information technology issues through consultation and advising, problem identification and resolution, training and preparation/maintenance of documentation.

  2. Provides technical design, implementation, maintenance, support of hardware, software, and/or instructional technology.



Minimum Qualifications:
Entry into the applicant pool requires a High School diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of experience in a related IT field to include experience with troubleshooting/repair laptop/desktop computers, inkjet/laser printers, backup and restore user files, and an understanding of directory services (Active Directory). Employer will consider advanced degrees in lieu of experience. The salary range for Level III is $35,000 - $58,400.


Level IV requires a High School diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of experience in a related IT field to include experience with troubleshooting/repair laptop/desktop computers, inkjet/laser printers, backup and restore user files, and an understanding of directory services (Active Directory). Employer will consider advanced degrees in lieu of experience. The salary range for Level IV is $45,100 - $75,100.


Candidate must be attentive to detail and dependable, have an interest in delivering quality public service to a highly diverse group of faculty/staff and students, and possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem resolution skills. Individual must be self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively, occasionally taking the lead with certain projects and responsibilities necessary to ensure smooth day-to-day operation.
