Programmer/Analyst 3 (Drupal Developer)

Penn State's Institutes of Energy and the Environment (IEE) IT Team is looking for a motivated front-end web developer to lead the technical aspects of the web presence of the IEE. The successful candidate will work closely with the IEE Communications Team to develop or refresh Drupal-based websites for IEE affiliated organizations and initiatives internal to Penn State such as the Sustainability Institute and external partnerships including Global Buildings Network partnership with the United Nations. The candidate will create templates and prototypes working with the content experts and designers to complete the implementation and launch. The ideal candidate will be proficient with core web technologies including PHP, CSS, JavaScript and HTML and be comfortable with all aspects of development in Drupal in a Linux environment. This individual will also serve as backup contact to the team for system administration and related IT issues. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You'll enjoy a team-oriented, casual atmosphere conducive to maximizing your potential but must be comfortable discussing and contributing ideas at any stage of the process. We seek candidates who can demonstrate experience and ability to advance Penn State's diversity initiative. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
