We are currently seeking skilled and team-oriented applicants for the following position: Programmer Analyst (ITS3)


This position provides consulting, designing, programming, quality assurance, troubleshooting, and/or technical support for applications, projects, and/or operational problems.


Develops and modifies applications/services using various computer programming languages and tools. Identifies and resolves operational problems for systems.


Serves as a liaison between business units, vendors, and other technology units to troubleshoot and resolve issues under support and maintenance agreements. Performs process and business analysis leading to technical process and system optimization. Documents processes and procedures for existing and future systems and services.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift 15 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and sit as needed for office and computer work.

  • Wrist and hand movements required as needed for keyboarding.

  • Ability to be mobile, campus wide for appropriate business needs.

Required Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology or related discipline. Substantial experience may be substituted for formal education

  • Two years of experience implementing, managing and administering systems

  • Four years of experience developing in SQL

  • Four years of recent professional experience in database centric computer application development and maintenance. Experience includes but is not limited to analyzing, designing, implementing, maintaining and/or programming small to medium scale enterprise software applications using PL/SQL or an equivalent procedural, database centric development language

  • Experience working with modern development languages and practices including source control

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility and/or diversity.




Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in using a well-structured life cycle management process for implementation of changes in applications

  • Python development

  • Experience writing and maintaining Extract Transform and Load (ETL) utilities

  • Experience working with Git

  • Linux command line experience

  • Knowledge and experience working in a higher education and/or financial environment with areas dealing with information systems management and support systems

    • Working independently

    • Prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

    • Effectively communicate in both spoken and written form to diverse constituencies, both technical and non-technical
