Description:
The Digital Arts department at Pratt Institute is seeking a detail-oriented Lab Manager to support the department of Digital Arts Game Arts program other departmental technologies. The Lab Manager will be part of a 3 person tech team who will work with the Chairperson and other lab managers to proactively identify and address the daily tech needs of the department to ensure smooth and responsive operation courses and tech facilities. The ideal candidate will be an organized, effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills who is a flexible team player. On a typical day you will be required to:

Support the technological needs of the students, faculty and staff to ensure the smooth running of classes and other departmental activities including responding to help tickets, imaging computers, and maintaining peripherals and special facilities
In coordination with the Senior Lab Manager and Chair, help to plan upgrades, repairs and tech strategies for the department
Ensure the implementation of departmental policies and procedures regarding department facilities and equipment
Conduct I.T. development related to the Department of Digital Arts
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education: Must have a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years of experience in Tech Support.

Experience: Expertise with Apple and Windows computers is required. Minimum of two years of experience including experience in servers and networking is required.

Skills: Must have demonstrated knowledge of current Windows OS, Macintosh OS and familiarity with Smart Deploy or software deployment.
