Overview
The IT Network Instructor will lead instruction within the IT Network Specialist Associate of Applied Science Degree Program and Computer Service Technician One-Year program. This position is part of an instructional team that provides credit-based flexible learning in a supportive environment located at the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center (AMTC) Campus in Milton, WI. Responsible for instruction, curriculum development and assessment of student learning using an online learning management system (Blackboard) in combination with a hands-on IT networking lab environment.

Position will be posted as open until filled, we will begin review of candidates on June 2, 2022.

Responsibilities
1. Lead instruction and student assessment, ensuring students are working toward the competencies of course level and program learning outcomes.
2. Maintain, develop and continuously improve online and classroom based learning content, lab projects and assessments.
3. Create a classroom/lab environment that is respectful of diversity and demonstrates a commitment to multiculturalism.
4. Maintain accurate student records and reports as requested by administrative offices.
5. As a team member, work to improve the project-based IT lab environment.
6. Work with Business & Industry and Secondary Education to ensure the development of the IT student-to-program-to-work pipeline.
7. Lead the development of IT student internships, projects and placements.
8. Collaborate with all MATT Divisional instructors, advisors and staff to help improve student success in the new teaching and learning environments.
9. Participate in staff development activities and serve on college improvement teams and college wide committees as appropriate.
10. Attend advisory committee meetings; department, division and faculty meetings.
11. Assist in student and staff recruitment and job placement activities for graduates.
12. Meet weekly office hours and other duties required to meet student, employer, and college needs.
13. Assist the Dean and Department Chair in other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related technical field. In evaluating candidates for this position, BTC may consider a combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
2. Two years (4,000 hours) of verified occupational work experience as an Information Technology professional is required. Experience must be in network administration, user support, programming, or related occupations.
Occupational experience must include one year (2,000 hours) within the past five years.

Recent teaching experience in postsecondary higher education may be substituted for up to one year of the occupational experience requirement.

Relevant experience include:
1. Server Support: Experience in physical aspects of the infrastructure; server and network operating systems including virtualized environments
2. System/Network support: Hardware install and maintenance (i.e. Cisco & HP); switches; routers; firewalls; physical network; VoIP (Voice over IP) and wireless networks
3. Desktop Support - Hardware components and software applications
4. Cybersecurity
5. Help Desk
6. Programming
7. Web Management

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in Information Technology or Management Information Systems outside the field of education.
2. Industry certifications; Microsoft, CompTIA and Cisco.
3. Prior post-secondary instructional experience.
