Data Integration Specialist Connecticut CollegeJob Summary: Connecticut College is conducting a national search for a Data Integration Specialist to coordinate the movement, manipulation, integration, quality and availability of data throughout the enterprise. The individual must provide Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) and data integration expertise to support the college's databases and systems.

General Duties & Responsibilities: The Data Integration Specialist will be responsible for the design and development for extraction and transformation mappings from source to target data stores, and for the implementation and ongoing technical support of Advancement CRM. The Specialist will analyze business requirements and source systems to design and develop solutions for system integrations using a variety of toolsets. In many cases, these solutions extract information from ERP and feed to third party applications, as well as feed information collected in these applications back to the ERP. System integration responsibilities include the implementation and ongoing support of an Advancement/Development CRM solution. The Specialist will also build components necessary for the ETL processes which include: SQL development (Oracle, MSSQL, etc.), java development and use of API's; provide technical support for WebFocus reporting product and support and maintain current integrations with third party applications.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in information systems, computer science, or closely related IT field or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in any area plus an additional combination of education and experience equivalent to four years of education in an IT related field and three years of data integration experience including enterprise database development and support as well as the tools and technologies available for Intranet/Internet application development required. Two years' experience with enterprise-wide software applications development and maintenance, preferably in higher education required. Experience in Version control: Team forge, VSS, CVS, SVN, Git and other technologies like Agile Methodology and Waterfall; familiarity with supporting BI Reporting solutions such as IBI WebFOCUS or Crystal Reports; competency in SQL development (Oracle, MSSQL, etc.), java development, use of APIs; competency in creating and maintaining ETL processes; integrations experience with SOAP/REST API, Single Sign-on, JavaScript; prefer experience with Ellucian Banner ERP; excellent interpersonal, communications, analytical and problem solving skills; excellent organization skills and ability to set priorities and keep to deadlines; ability to work independently on multiple assignments and to work collaboratively within a team.
