Description of Work Unit
The Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML) is a research, education and service unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University (CSU). CEMML applies the latest and most appropriate science to promote the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on Department of Defense (DoD) and other public lands. We provide technical support, conduct applied research, and offer career development and learning opportunities to support resource stewardship. We collaborate with our sponsors and within CSU to resolve complex environmental issues, leaving a legacy of science-based decisions that sustain our resources for future generations.

Position Summary
As an independent cooperator, provide support to the Fort Polk, Louisiana, Conservation branch in implementing management guidelines of Computer security, training, maintenance, and requisition.

Support development/improvement of fleet vehicle tracking. Assist with the development and implementation of an annual work plan for management of Conservation Branch Vehicles and Associated Equipment. Assist in the application of fleet inspections as per Conservation Branch SOPs and coordinate with maintenance repair entities. Assist with weekly and monthly status reports for Fleet Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance Management. This job duty may be performed individually or by supporting other staff, depending on Team needs.

Duty/Responsibility
Assist in development, tracking, processing, filing, and retrieval of Conservation Branch physical security information in accordance with Army and Fort Polk regulations and procedures. Notify supervisors of upcoming due dates, perform daily inspections to identify deficiencies, prepare and route service orders to correct deficiencies, and maintain copy in Conservation Branch file. Assist in maintaining administrative supply inventories and reporting to the Conservation Branch procurement officer to obtain needed items. Assist with weekly and monthly status reports for Information Security in accordance with Army Regulations (AR) 25-1 and AR 25-2.

Duty/Responsibility
IAW established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) serve as a team member and inspector for the Installation's Maneuver Damage Program. Perform maneuver damage inspections after training events and major training rotations to determine the extent, location, and degree of natural resource damages. Compile and report damages to the Maneuver Damage Coordinator with determination of preferred remediation and coordinate with engineering entities and Range Control to implement repairs. Provide monthly status report for Maneuver Damage Assessment Inspection and Engineer Repair Work. Furnish report/maps and accurate Maneuver Damage field data sheets to the ENRMD, Conservation Branch as applicable. Comply with all due dates and report/map formats that are established.
