Position Description
Performs specialized analytical duties in the operation and maintenance of assigned area. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and developing data relative to area, making recommendations and assisting in implementation of projects. Work is performed under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Regularly perform data extraction, manipulation, analysis, and interpretation of findings/results to prepare institutional responses to external/internal inquiries ("ad hoc" requests).
  • Provide data and analytic support. Conduct strategic data analysis, identify insights and implications from Enrollment Management data and make strategic recommendations to senior staff.
  • Prepare written summaries, tables, charts, and graphs to illustrate results of analyses.
  • Collaborate with institutional partners to gather relevant data from various systems and databases in a manner that fulfills the needs for statistical analyses.
  • Utilize statistical analyses and data management tools to complete analyses of data.
  • Create appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and duplicate or replicate the analysis, if necessary.
  • Prepare reports for executive leadership that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
  • Work closely with Enrollment Management leadership to understand their analytical needs and better assist them with the necessary data to make decisions.


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required plus five years progressively responsible related experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools, specifically, Power BI
  • Ability to use quantitative methods and scientific methods to analyze data from various institutional databases, electronic analytic processes (e.g., website analysis), surveys and other data sources to make evidence-based decisions.
  • Master's degree or doctoral degree preferred with emphasis in statistical methodologies, mathematics, economics, etc.
  • Prior experience in the development and information management of business analytic data (or similar assessment experiences).
  • Experience with higher education data.
  • Ellucian Banner data experience.
