In a team environment, the Programmer Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the Human Resources/Payroll and Finance systems. In this capacity, the position will assist the Human Resources and Finance departments with the maintenance, analysis, programming, and implementation of technical solutions for enterprise-wide use at LMC. The current ERP system at LMC is Banner by Ellucian, and LMC also has several in-house developed VB.NET applications that support the business processing. The Programmer Analyst position will be an extremely active partner and process visionary who strives to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of business operations/services by assisting Human Resources and Finance departments in using Banner to streamline business processes, as well as troubleshooting and issue resolution.

Essential Functions:
1. This position will primarily support LMCs Human Resources and Finance departments by performing in-depth technical analysis of Banner Human Resources and Banner Finance systems, gaining a general functional understanding of these systems to assist with configuration, troubleshooting and support of related business areas.
a. Field incoming IT Service Desk tickets to resolve software and/or application issues.
b. Provide guidance for technical solutions to solve functional business needs.
i. Design, plan, configure, and implement aforementioned technical solutions; working with the business users and IT staff.
c. Work in tandem with the business users to validate system rules to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
d. Work in tandem with the business to support year-end regulatory reporting (IPEDS, tax forms, etc.)
e. Assist with issue resolution with Banner components, acting as a liaison, when appropriate, between LMC and Ellucian through research, testing, and communication.
i. Assist with Banner upgrades and patches; working with IT staff to recommend, schedule, and test.
2. This position is responsible for reviewing and, if applicable, redesigning custom VB.NET applications to more robust technologies. Analysis of applicable Banner solutions in order to provide more efficiency and use of the system is an important component to this item.
3. This position is responsible for development and maintenance of process documentation.
a. This includes, but is not limited to, job aids, step-by-step guides, and status reports.
4. This position actively serves on relevant committees, as needed.
5. This position actively supports, and participates with, cross-departmental training.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Accountabilities:
Under supervision of the Manager, ERP, the Programmer Analyst maintains software applications and services that support the operational requirements and goals for LMCs ERP system (Banner by Ellucian) and other related systems.

Job Specifications:
Associate degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS) or Computer Science (CS) is required.
Bachelor degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS) or Computer Science (CS) is highly preferred.
Banner by Ellucian experience is required. Experience with Banner Human Resources and/or Banner Finance is highly preferred.
Five or more years of experience in an IT related field is required.
Three or more years of experience in higher education is required.
Financial accounting experience is highly preferred.
Special consideration will be given to those with experience with Oracle 12.x RDBMS (including SQL and PL/SQL scripting), Red Hat Linux OS, SQL Server 2016, Cognos Analytics 11, VB.NET programming, and JavaScript programming.
Knowledge of processes and regulations related to finance and human resources are strongly desired.
Experience developing procedural documentation and training materials, particularly using Confluence or Microsoft SharePoint/Teams is preferred.
Proven communication, active listening, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.

Grade: C12/C42
Salary Range: $48,048 - $61,610
