Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno invites candidates for the position of Analyst, Data Integrations in Enterprise Data Management, a service unit of the Office of Information Technology (OIT) division. The Analyst, Data Integrations is responsible for integrating data among new and legacy systems, cloud-based, vendor-hosted and on-site sources. This position would gather data integration requirements and specifications. Identify, define, and analyze data sources surrounding the data integration. Work in accordance with University approved technology and security policies and procedures to protect and distribute data. The Analyst works closely with the Lead Analyst for direction, mentorship, and project timelines. The Analyst collaborates with the customers and vendors to develop data integrations that meet the requirements specified by extracting, transforming, and providing the data in the desired format. The Analyst will also collaborate in the analysis of troubleshooting integration issues and will deliver resolution solutions to the Lead Analyst, Data Integrations for review prior to implementation.

How the Analyst, Data Integrations will contribute:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain data integrations for new enterprise and ancillary system implementations, as well as enhancements to existing integrations.
  • Gather data integration requirements and specifications to identify, define, and analyze data sources surrounding the data being requested.
  • Collaborates with customers and vendors to understand their business processes to develop data integrations that meet the requirements specified.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting of data integrations to ensure seamless operations.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data integration workflow and processes.
  • Works in accordance with university approved technology, security policies, and procedures to protect and distribute data.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of related work experience OR

Master's degree and one (1) year of related work experience.

Related Experience: Experience in querying relational database technologies, data analysis or reporting; documentation of technical specifications or business processes or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies; strong initiative; works well independently and as a contributing member of a team; strong analytical, problem resolution, and communication skills.
  • Experience with University Student and/or HCM data.
  • Experience with Talend or other iPaaS systems.

Grants-in-aid for Faculty Employees

Office of Information Technology department provides computing, software, and communications support services to students, faculty, and staff throughout the University. The department manages and supports software development, applications support and data warehousing, network services, and server support and management. The goal of the organization is to assist departments and colleges in automating any administrative or academic process within the University that can benefit from automation and thereby improve the efficiency and accuracy of University operations.
