Under the direction of the Executive Director of the UCPath Campus Support Center (CSC), the UCPath Training lead is a key role that is responsible for formulating an updated UCPath training strategy and is responsible for the deployment and management of a comprehensive training plan for the UCPath system and related local systems such as the UCPath case management tool, etc. This position is responsible for the design, development, presentation and evaluation of training artifacts to include eModules, webinars, job aids, in-person presentations, user guides, data dictionaries, you tube type videos, quick reference guides, knowledgebase content and related UCPath training assets. This position serves as the operational partner to our campus UCPath units, Shared Service Center's (SSC's) and SMEs on campus and coordinates training activities/assignments among CSC team members, central office policy SMEs and campus UCPath partner units and team members. In addition, the candidate will be required to become a UCPath Subject Matter Expert (SME) and deliver various types of training content. The UCPath Training Lead serves as the UCPath training point of contact for the campus, UCPath Center and Systemwide UCPath Training SMEs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Applies advanced professional training and development skills to resolve highly complex training issues and needs assessment initiatives.

    • The advanced training and development skills include the production of eModules, "Youtube" type videos and other microlearning training assets. This includes the Development and production of courses for inclusion in our campus Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Conducts extremely complex and varied analysis of issues or concepts and develops resulting recommendations. Analysis of UCPC Training Assets, campus training Assets , Sister Location materials and develop resulting recommendations on the most efficient and effective way to leverage the materials and proceed with a go forward plan strategy and maintenance plan for the UCPath training inventory. Initiates and designs highly complex training studies and needs analysis to ensure effectiveness of current and new training initiatives.

  • Works collaboratively and effectively in a diverse environment with others across the organization, important external contacts, and members of organization management at all levels to resolve highly complex performance and /or training issues, where analysis of situations requires an in-depth evaluation and understanding of organization strategies and business objectives.

  • May provide guidance to other staff members in training & development unit, other organization units and/or project team participants.

    • This position serves as the operational partner to our campus UCPath units, SSC's and SME?s on campus and coordinates training activities/assignments among CSC team members, central office policy SME?s and campus UCPath partner units and team members.

  • Uses expertise and in-depth understanding of best practices to determine methods and procedures for new training assignments and initiatives.

  • Provides support to improve teaching and learning outcomes.

  • May consult with instructors to determine methods for delivery of course content and effective use of technology.

  • Establishes evaluation criteria for measuring desired results and impact.

  • Uses considerable discretion to determine methods and procedures for new training assignments and initiatives.

  • May assume responsibility for specific training programs, initiatives and budget.

  • Applies knowledge of culture to implement complex initiatives, projects and programs.

Education, Experience & License Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required

  • Crossfunctional experience in the training field including experience and skills in developing and delivering a wide range of training modalities and direct experience producing eModules, Youtube type videos and related training assets. Preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years experience developing and deploying eLearning (including rapid eLearning) training modules. Preferred

  • 6 - 10 years of related experience. Required

  • Minimum of 3 years experience developing and presenting technical training materials. Preferred

  • Experience with Oracle's PeopleSoft HRMS and UPK or other similar software and training modules. Preferred

  • Certificate in Online Training. Preferred

  • Certificate in Delivering Technical Training Content. Preferred
