Sandhills Community College seeks applications for a Information Technology Programmer Analyst. This position reports to the Chief Information Officer and is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of software applications for the College. This position is also responsible for business analysis and the gathering/development of requirements, independently converting requirements into technical specifications used to code/develop automated workflows using one or more programming languages. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently as well as cooperatively with faculty and staff.


Additional responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with campus personnel to support, design and recommend applications that integrate with other higher level systems.

  • Participate in defining business requirements, goals, objectives needed to support programming needed to support the College.

  • Build testing strategies and plans based on project requirements and system design.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelors Degree in a computer-related field from a regionally accredited institution.

  • .NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, MySQL, HTML, Powershell, Unix/Linux, O365 Sharepoint

  • Strong knowledge of working with relational databases.

  • At least 2 years of Software application development experience.

  • Analytical mindset with critical thinking and strong troubleshooting skills.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Strong customer service skills.
