Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno invites candidates for the position of Data Integrations Analyst/Senior Data Integrations Analyst in Enterprise Data Management, a service unit of the Office of Information Technology (OIT) division. Under the general supervision of the Director of Enterprise Data Management, the Data Integrations Analyst positions contribute to the development, maintenance and support of integration technologies for campus-wide enterprise and ancillary systems. This position develops, implements, and documents a full range of integrations for new system implementations, as well as enhancements to existing integrations. In addition, it provides day-to-day management and troubleshooting of existing integrations.

The Data Integrations Analyst is responsible for integrating data among new and legacy systems, cloud-based, vendor-hosted and on-site sources. This position gathers data integration requirements and specifications to identify, define, and analyze data sources surrounding data integrations. It also works in accordance with University approved technology, security policies, and procedures to protect and distribute data. The Analyst collaborates with the customers and vendors to understand business processes and develop data integrations that meet the requirements specified by extracting, transforming, and providing the data in the desired format.

The Senior Data Integrations Analyst, in addition to the duties listed above, will have knowledge of enterprise data to serve as a resource to customers and colleagues having an in-depth understanding and ability to create, modify, and maintain data objects as they pertain to integrations, while being mindful of how modifications could impact other dependent processes. This position is responsible for coordinating actions among customers, operations, technical staff, and vendors.

Required Qualifications

Data Integrations Analyst

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and two (2) years of related work experience OR Master's degree and one (1) year of related work experience.
Related Experience: Experience in querying relational database technologies, data analysis or reporting; Documentation of technical specifications or business processes.

Senior Data Integrations Analyst

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and four (4) years of related work experience OR Master's degree and two (2) years of related work experience.
Related Experience: Experience in querying and creating objects in relational database technologies, preferably Oracle; Data analysis, problem resolution, integration development and support; Documentation of technical specifications or business processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies; strong initiative; works well independently and as a contributing member of a team; strong analytical, problem resolution, and communication skills.

Experience with University Student and/or HCM data.

Experience with Talend or other iPaaS systems.

Compensation Grade

Data Integrations Analyst - Grade B

Senior Data Integrations Analyst - Grade C

Candidates will be hired at the level that is comparable to their experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
